Are You Ready for the WOD?

If you’re new to CrossFit and don’t know what WOD stands for, we’ll fill you in. CrossFit is the sport of fitness combining elements of cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.

CrossFit is a fun, fast-paced workout with functional movements, Olympic lifts, and gymnastics. We have a new workout move for every day of the week to inspire and challenge our CrossFitters.

And did we mention it’s FUN? Believe it or not, CrossFit is a blast – yes, it’s hard work, but it doesn’t seem like it. You will leave the gym pumped and feeling amazing.

If you can’t get to the gym, follow along with our Workout of the Day here. If you’re a veteran CrossFitter, check out the WOD to prepare for class or sneak in a few reps at home.

Knocking on Heavens door

a. Warm Up:
5 min of steady cardio (feel free to run 800m)

Tabata: BPA’s / Elbow Prayers (alternate)

6 min EMOM –
5 Y’s with 3 sec hold
3 x Seal to Walking down dog

b. Strength: Bench Press –
3 x 5 @ 70%
3 x 3 @ 80%
3 x 1 @ 90%
Rest :90 secs

c. WOD: “Annie” (end of class timecap)

Double Unders
Sit Ups

*scale: halve the reps or double the reps with single unders.
